Today I’m walking away from the highway of all over prints and take a little side road meeting a new Italian t-shirt label called RED DOG TEE. Their concept is to point on a high quality basic t-shirt and put all the attention to “THE POCKET”.
15 different prints decorate the pockets going from native to floral over to animals and ending up in our beloved cartoon world…
Red Dog is the brainchild of Gianmarco in collaboration with Giampiero famous salesman in the clothing world and Simone, producer of northern Italy. The project is to create a line of t-shirts that wants to leave behind the classic all-over stamp focusing on the pocket.
My favorite? The white one with the parrots…and yours? Here some looks…a great thing of these t-shirts is that you can easily style them…
And who is behind allllllllllllllllllllllll this…? THE RED DOG of course
and this is the place of origin…VIRGINIA CITY Nevada!

One of the things I love about the Australian fashion weeks…they are always in front – they show now their spring/summer 12-13…and they happen in the same moment when us here in Europe are starting our summers. I was swimming yesterday for the first time so seeing these images from Day 1 of the MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK in Sydney are happily keeping me into the summer mood.
Let us start with this beautiful backstage image of the ROMANCE WAS BORN show. Orange wigs – strong colorful make up and ASOS NAIL ROCK on the model and the make up artist … i love her little music note tatoo…
Thick black glued eye brows and colorful garments move the girls into a cartoon world.
“ROMANCE WAS BORN have an amazing capacity for turning out exquisite clothes that go beyond trends and are recognizable worldwide.”
“Like creative Powerbirds they assemble a fashion wonderland, drawing together all that is beautiful with their stunning embellished style.”
Garish comic book colours and designs were all the rage, in a show produced in partnership with Marvel Comics.
Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales are the heads behind ROMANCE WAS BORN.
One cozy afternoon, two girls were chatting, when they got to sketching their dream designer handbag. A surprising idea popped up – “How amazing it would be if a two-dimensional hand-drawn illustration could come to life as a real bag!” They explored every possibility, rendering fantasy handbags in perspective, and giving birth to “Jump from paper“.
The two girls from the little story really exist, they live in Taipei and are called Chay Su and Rika Lin. What they do is not only creating Hand bags but sending them to a journey where reality and the cartoon paper world meet up. (material: Polyester fabric)
And….Yes, they are real, just watch closer:
