Do you remember when Sponge Bob turned into famous designers, musicians and celebrities? This time graphic designer Mike Frederiqo was playing around with famous fashion logos. (images via highsnobiety)
Usually I write about new upcoming designers but sometimes I can not let pass by certain things. She is one of my favorite artist, Yayoi Kusama. (wikipedia) The 83 year old Japanese Kusama went into a collaboration with the french fashion house Louis Vuitton and decorated with her very personal style all the collection with her beloved dots.
The new capsule collection contains shoes, bags, accessories and apparel for the summer 2012 launched 2 days ago, July 10th. This is not Kusama’s first move into fashion. In the 60’s when she lived in New York she established her own label, “Kusama Fashion company”, creating crazy outfits and hanging out with Andy Warhol.

There are usually two ways in which fashion is seen, as a piece of art, the beautiful garments designers think about the whole season and bring them out in their best creative way or as the object which brings the money, the way it will be sold, the advertisement, connections and the use of the secret know how of the cruel money market. There is a third version, we normally completely forget when it goes to watch a fashion show or lookbooks, the fun effect.
There is a blog called FASHGIF which every day post the opportunity to see this images in a completely different way. They put the fun into the images by moving some parts of them, always keeping us up to date of the daily fashion movements.
